Public speaking for 5-year-olds, built for kindergarten

At five, the whole task is being heard and staying on one topic, which is exactly what kindergarten show-and-tell asks. Sessions are short, playful, and one-on-one, so speaking up feels normal from the very start.

Public speaking for 5-year-olds, built for kindergarten

Who it's for

For kindergarteners who love to share and for the quieter ones who freeze at circle time. Everything is one-on-one and paced for a five-year-old, with games instead of pressure.

Why families choose TalkMaze

What makes it work

Loud enough, and on topic

At five the goal is simple: be heard and stay on one idea. A coach turns that into a game, so show-and-tell stops feeling scary.

Built around show-and-tell

Kindergarten speaking is describing a favorite thing to the class. We practice exactly that, one warm coach and your child, until it feels easy.

One voice at a time

Taking turns, raising a hand, and waiting to speak are real kindergarten skills. We build them gently, through play.

TalkMaze is an online communication academy offering 1-on-1 public speaking and debate coaching for kids ages 5 to 17.

Founder Ghalia Aamer is a national debate competitor, TEDx speaker, and Princess Diana Award recipient, and every coach is trained on the method she built.

Frequently asked questions

Is 5 too young for public speaking classes?

No. Five is a lovely age to start, because the task is just being heard and staying on topic, which is what kindergarten already asks. Sessions are short, playful, and one-on-one, with no audience and no pressure.

How long are sessions for a 5-year-old?

About 45 minutes, but packed with variety and games so a kindergartener stays engaged. A young child's focus comes in short bursts, so we change activities often.

What if my 5-year-old barely talks to strangers?

That is completely normal at five and very workable. The first session is just your child and one patient coach, no audience, moving entirely at their pace.
