Ghalia Aamer is the 21 year old founder of TalkMaze, and has over 9 years of public speaking and debate experience. She jumped out of her comfort zone overcame shyness at the age of 12 when she joined the debate team. In just a matter of years, Ghalia went from a shy child to speaking confidently in front of hundreds at national debate championships. She has spoken at countless international conferences including at 4 TEDx events. Now, as the founder of TalkMaze, Ghalia combines public speaking experience with her drive for entrepreneurship to empower children around the world. In addition to running her company while being a full-time university student, Ghalia advocates for underrepresented entrepreneurs. She represented Canada as the country’s youngest delegate and policy lead at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit, championing recommendations around inclusion. She also sits as the youngest member of both Junior Achievement’s Board of Directors and Edmonton Unlimited’s Innovation Growth Council as a voice for youth, women, and visible minorities.
